El modelo Ciudad Dulce, impulsado en Curridabat desde el 2015, cumple diez años y ahora es objeto de un estudio académico que busca la voz de los vecinos y vecinas. Guillermo Cantillano, estudiante de Administración Pública en la Universidad de Costa Rica y vecino del cantón, desarrolla un proyecto de graduación para analizar los logros y desafíos de esta iniciativa pionera, que ha puesto a los polinizadores en el centro de la planificación urbana.
Para ello se habilitó una encuesta en línea, rápida, sencilla y anónima, que no toma más de cinco minutos en responder.
El objetivo es conocer si la ciudadanía del cantón está al tanto de este modelo y, en el caso de quienes lo conocen, que opinan sobre esta estrategia que ha transformado a Curridabat.
“Este proyecto de investigación busca conocer la opinión de los vecinos sobre el modelo Ciudad Dulce, especialmente al cumplirse 10 años de su creación. La encuesta es breve, dura menos de cinco minutos, y sus respuestas son esenciales para evaluar el impacto de esta iniciativa pionera en la protección de polinizadores.”, explicó Cantillano.
Los resultados de la encuesta (que espera recolectar 383 respuestas representativas) serán parte del análisis académico, se entregarán a la Municipalidad de Curridabat y serán públicos. La intención es identificar fortalezas, áreas de mejora, nuevas rutas para consolidar el modelo como una política pública sostenible y crear recomendaciones de como otros cantones pueden adoptar modelos similares para proteger a sus polinizadores.
