Tranvía Ediciones y Municipalidad de Curridabat invitan a leer juntos para celebrar el Día del Libro

Lectura en la Biblioteca municipal de Curridabat

Una lectura de algunos textos escogidos, llenos de aventuras y misterio, ofrece el escritor Luis Ricardo Ródríguez de su novela fantástica épica Áurenthal, con el fin de celebrar el Día Internacional del Libro.

Auspiciada por la Municipalidad de Curridabat y su departamento de Arte y Cultura, la cita de la actividad “La fantasía de leer” es gratuita y para todo público, y se lleva a cabo el jueves 23 de abril a las 6 p.m., en la Biblioteca municipal de Curridabat, ubicada 300 metros al oeste de la Municipalidad de Curridabat. 

El evento forma parte de las acciones y alianzas que, desde el Departamento de Arte y Cultura y la Biblioteca Municipal de Curridabat, se implementan para contribuir con el cantón en el área de la literatura. 

“La visión de fomentar la lectura es nuestro norte, y crear encuentros como este con escritores nacionales comprometidos con su quehacer literario, como lo es Luis Ricardo Rodríguez, es de gran relevancia. Sabemos que este espacio será enriquecedor y que los asistentes encontrarán portales mágicos en esta gran aventura de leer”, indicó Alejandra Jefa del Departamento de Arte y Cultura de la Municipalidad de Curridabat.

Áurenthal, publicada por Tranvía Ediciones en 2019 y primera novela costarricense del género de fantasía épica para lectores juveniles, es un relato emocionante y entretenido que trata sobre la importancia de la literatura en la vida de las personas y de los pueblos. Es un gran homenaje a la literatura universal, al amor por los libros y las historias y a la creatividad. 


El escritor costarricense Luis Ricardo Rodríguez ofrece una noche de lectura de su novela fantástica épica Áurenthal, en la Biblioteca municipal de Curridabat 

“La lectura es una actividad no sólo relevante para el desarrollo cognitivo y emocional de las personas, sino que, además, posee un efecto social, porque leyendo conocemos lo que pensaron o crearon otros seres humanos que habitaron este planeta antes que nosotros (o que nos son contemporáneos) y lo compartimos con los demás”, expresó Rodríguez, a propósito de la lectura celebratoria del Día del Libro.

De acuerdo con Rodríguez, la lectura recreativa es una acción especialmente libre y personalísima, y sólo se entiende desde la libertad. “Cuando abrimos una novela, un cuento, una obra de teatro, entramos en un mundo creado por el autor, distinto del nuestro, y vivimos historias y aventuras que, aunque sean ajenas a nuestra realidad cotidiana, nos pertenecen al leerlas, y nos acompañan durante nuestra vida”. 

Por eso, agregó Rodríguez, hablar sobre las lecturas actuales o favoritas es una actividad tan grata como compartir la mesa, y recomendar un libro es un verdadero acto de amistad: es como presentar a un amigo.

Rodríguez es abogado y escritor. Fue docente en la Universidad de Costa Rica y otras universidades del país. Ha dedicado desde joven esfuerzos para la promoción de la lectura y de la creación literaria. Es fundador de Tranvía Ediciones, un emprendimiento editorial en desarrollo.

Áurenthal es su primera novela y ha sido publicada en dos ediciones, una por Farben Norma en 1991 y otra edición de lujo, con tapa dura e ilustraciones, bajo el sello Tranvía Ediciones en 2019.
