Al finales de los años 60 y durante los 70s tuvimos la dicha de vivir nuestra juventud en la época dorada y romántica de la música.
Soñábamos con ser artistas y parecernos a los cantantes de moda, como eran, entre algunos Serrat, Luisito Rey o Sandro.
Nuestro pueblo no fue la excepción de esa onda artística. Teníamos cantantes como Francisco Loría, Mario A. Milar, orquestas como la de don Hernán Sánchez, grupos juveniles como el Grupo Quinto y el grupo Bahía, solo para nombrar algunos.
Quedan muy pocos guerreros musicales de esa época que aun estén activos. Es el caso de mi amigo Carlos Delgado Mora (Kaluri), vecino de Tirrases, quien después hizo su vida y hasta hoy en Esparza de Puntarenas, donde se casó y tiene su familia.
Nació en Curridabat en 1951, cantante de muchos grupos y orquestas; podría enumerar varias, como la Orquesta Oro Musical, del Maestro don Fernando Cordero (q.D.g.), también vecino del pueblo en esos años, La Banda Azul, Grupo Electra, la Orquesta de Álvaro Morales, entre muchos más.
Hoy a sus 70 y tantos años de vida sigue al pie del cañon en su actividad musical, ya no en grupos ni orquestas si no como solista, amenizando fiestas y eventos privados, interpretando todo tipo de estilos y ritmos musicales donde, según me dice, se siente muy cómodo y realizado.
