Con una excelente participación, el pasado 3 de setiembre se realizaron las elecciones de la Junta de Salud de Curridabat.
Este es un grupo de representantes que contribuyen con las autoridades de la CCSS a nivel local para mejorar la atención de la salud, el desempeño administrativo y financiero, así como la participación ciudadana.
Las Juntas de Salud se encuentran conformadas por siete miembros: 3 representantes de los asegurados, 2 de asociaciones pro-salud y 2 del sector patronal. Se eligen por cuatro años.
Las Juntas de Salud pueden jugar un papel muy importante en la prestación de los servicios de salud. Por ejemplo, en Curridabat la Junta de Salud desarrolló importante trabajo en pro de la construcción del Ebais de Tirrases.
Otro ejemplo es el papel que ha tenido la Junta de Salud del Hospital Nacional de Geriatría Raúl Blanco Cervantes, realizando denuncias y presiones por la construcción de un nuevo hospital.
Las nuevas Juntas de Salud iniciarán funciones en enero de 2026.
