El atleta Isaac Rivera Torres escribió en el libro de la historia de Curridabat al ganar la primera medalla de plata para el cantón en Tenis de Mesa, categoría Sub 13.
“Ese es resultado del trabajo incansable del equipo, entrenador, jugador y su familia. Ante la adversidad propia de nuestros dirigentes hacia el deporte, esos niños, niñas y jóvenes (17 jugadores) están entregándose por entero por su orgullo, pasión del Tenis de Mesa 🏓 y su cantón CURRIDABAT”, dijo Jorge Segura, vocero de esta delegación.
Desde El Monitor reconocemos este esfuerzo, liderado por el profesor Marco Mora Mora.
Según el reporte desde los Juegos Deportivos Nacionales, que se desarrollan en Limón, también ha tenido participación destacada la atleta Abigail Pereira Obando, con un quinto lugar en Sub 19 femenino, enfrentándose contra jugadoras de primer nivel en el ranking nacional y amplia experiencia internacional.
Las próximas competencias para Curridabat serán en Dobles Femenino, Dobles Masculino, Dobles Mixto y por equipos, que se extenderán hasta el próximo 24 de enero.
